The Brighton Japan Festival
The Japanese Shop has agreed to sponsor the upcoming The Brighton Japan Festival which is taking place in June. Here’s the festival’s schedule for those of you who are interested in attending: MOSHI MATSURI | Saturday 23rd June - Sunday 24th June Launching the Festival, the opening weekend will be a lively collection of Japanese music and performances, traditional children's games, workshops and street processions, as well as a profusion of shitamachi-style stalls selling all sorts of street food and Japanese goods. FESTIVAL HUB | Friday 22nd June - Sunday 1st July Located in the dome tent adjacent to Moshi Moshi, the Hub will be home to exquisite and exciting evening events throughout the week. ASAHI ANIME FESTIVAL | Saturday 30th June - Sunday 1st July A delirious and colourful celebration of all things anime, with Cosplay contests, manga drawing and karaoke competitions galore. The festival will host many exciting events throughout the week, including two riotous street festival matsuri, quality evening performances at the Festival Hub, plus a film festival at the Duke of York's Picturehouse and international performances at the Brighton Dome.
