Whether you're planning ahead or need something last minute, at The Japanese Shop we offer a range of delivery options to ensure your purchase arrives promptly and conveniently.   • United Kingdom

    • Standard UK delivery: £3.90 - order now for delivery in 3-5 days.
    • Standard tracked UK delivery: £4.90 - order now for delivery in 3-5 days (FREE for orders over £60)
    • Next day tracked UK delivery: £8.90 - order before 2pm for next day delivery.
  • International

    • To the European Union: from £20 for delivery in 5-10 days. (depending on the size and weight of your order)
    • Rest of the World: from £30 for delivery in 5-15 days. (depending on the size and weight of your order)

Quoted transit times are in working days and therefore do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.

Helpful Delivery Information

Standard UK Delivery

Our standard UK delivery prices include postage and packing, irrespective of how large or small your order. We use a range of services from the Royal Mail, DHL and Parcelforce to complete the delivery of your order. We will email you to confirm the despatch of your order and, if we have used a tracked service, we will advise you of the company that we have used for delivery as well as the tracking number. If you are not home when the driver attempts to deliver, a card will be left for you to either go to the local delivery office to collect your order or to contact the delivery office and arrange for the re-delivery at a date to suit you.

Next Day UK Delivery

If you require next day delivery, please submit your order before 2pm as orders received after this time may not be despatched until the following day and therefore may incur an additional day in transit. Our UK next day delivery prices include postage and packing, irrespective of how large or small your order. We use a range of services from the Royal Mail, DHL and Parcelforce to complete the delivery of your order. For all next day delivery orders, we use a 'signed for' service, so if you do request this service, please ensure that someone is at the delivery address the following day who can sign to receive your order. We will email you to confirm the despatch of your order and will advise you of the company that we have used for delivery as well as the tracking number. If you are not home when the driver attempts to deliver, a card will be left for you to either go to the local delivery office to collect your order or to contact the delivery office and arrange for the re-delivery at a date to suit you.

The Islands and Highlands

Please note that we do not charge extra for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, the Channel Islands or the Scottish Highlands, however we do recommend that you allow an extra couple of days for delivery to these destinations.

International Delivery

We warmly welcome international customers and are very experienced in safely packing and sending orders to customers in over 50 countries, including Japan! Please note that our international delivery charge excludes any local taxes which may be due prior to delivery and which will depend on the country, the product and the value of your order.

We usually use DHL Worldwide Express to complete the delivery of your international order. We will email you to confirm the despatch of your order and will advise you of the company that we have used for delivery as well as the tracking number. If you are not home when the driver attempts to deliver, a card will be left for you to either go to the local delivery office to collect your order or to contact the delivery office and arrange for the re-delivery at a date to suit you.

 We may recommend the use of a specific delivery company which, depending on the country, size and weight of your order may require an additional payment. If you choose not to accept our suggestion, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order in full.

We do not currently deliver to Afghanistan, Angola, Belarus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Nigeria, North Korea, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

Tracking Your Order

To track an order with Royal Mail (13 digit reference numbers beginning with DW, ZJ or RI), please click on Royal Mail Tracking. Royal Mail also have an automated telephone answering delivery tracking service on telephone no 0845 7740 740.

To track an order with DHL (who use a 10 digit numerical reference number), please click on DHL Tracking. DHL also have a telephone answering delivery tracking service on telephone number 0844 248 0844.

To track an order with Parcelforce (who use reference numbers beginning with PBJG), please click on Parcelforce Tracking. Parcelforce also have a telephone answering delivery tracking service on telephone number 0844 800 4466.

Collect Your Order

If you prefer you may wish to avoid any delivery charges and collect your order from our showroom in Harrogate (North Yorkshire). If you require this service, please just select this option when checking out and collect your order when convenient with you. (Please note that we are open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm).
